However, episode four finally explained what’s going on in the town of Westview – and it doesn’t look good for the Scarlett Witch.
The episode reveals that the Geraldine is actually Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) – who Marvel fans will know as the little girl from 2019’s Captain Marvel.
She is an agent of SWORD, an organisation tasked with protecting the Earth from extra-terrestrial threats.
In an investigation she meets up with Agent Woo (Randall Park, Ant-Man) before going missing inside Westview.
Throughout the episode – with an appearance of Darcy Lewis from the Thor films – viewers discover that the sitcom world is being constructed.
And in the final scenes, we find out who: Wanda has created the world herself.
When Monica tries to shake her out of it, Wanda sends her flying out and back into reality, confirming the Scarlett Witch has created the new reality.
But the next scene seemed to answer fans questions, as Vision comes in to talk to his wife – and he appears lifeless, with a hole in his head.
Vision was killed in Avengers: Infinity War when Thanos squeezed the Mind Stone out of his head.
This proves that the Vision is still death and his appearance in the show is an illusion, like the rest of the town.
Fans were shocked by the reveal, with one person saying: “The twins started crying again after Wanda fixed the walls. It really is going to be like in the comics, that they exists as long as she’s thinking of them. Same with Vision, she wasn’t thinking of him alive, that’s why she saw him dead.”
Another speculated: “wanda insisting they can’t leave because she already knows this isn’t their home but is the only place she can project a consciousness of vision onto his corpse and pretend he’s alive”
