THE Masked Singer’s Viking has been revealed as 80s popstar Morten Harket, the lead singer of A-Ha.
The ITV singing competition has kept viewers guessing every week, and Viking was one of the hardest to figure out this year.
His clues were: “My career has been one of billions, over a billion people have watched me do my thing.
“As a Viking, I rely on tool I was born with, and tools I can create, my sword for example, which was forged in the silver mines of my homeland.”
He also said: “As precious metals go, steel has proved useful in my career.”
Guest judge Alan Carr was convinced Viking was Brendan from Coach Trip, whilst Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall claimed he was Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs, and Rita Ora put her bets on him being Bear Grylls.
But everyone’s jaws dropped when host Joel Dommett asked Viking to remove his mask and it was revealed to be the Norwegian singer.
Morten, 62, was the only person to have ever performed his own song on the show with his hit Take On Me
He said about taking part: “I did it because I needed to be kicked out of my comfort zone and I have been. It’s been fun to become another character. I’ve never done anything like this before.
And Rita told him: “Can I just say, you look fantastic.”
Fans at home were just as shocked and admitted the guessing game show had fooled them once more.
One wrote on Twitter: “Ohhh man. I am doing terrible this year!! 🙈 got Viking wrong too”
Another said: “Wasn’t expecting that, Morten Harket being Viking!財神娛樂“
The Masked Singer also revealed Sir Lenny Henry is Blob as he became the second celebrity of the night unmasked in the double eviction on Saturday night.
Blob lost out to 娛樂城Dragon, both of who were in the bottom two this week.
The comedian sang Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer, but fans really got a hint of his true identity last week when he sang about hotels.
