TWO celebs will be unmasked on tonight’s The Masked Singer as Alan Carr joins the judging panel for one night only.
A trailer for tonight’s show teased there’ll be double the drama as the contestants are whittled down.
The short clips says: “Next week, it’s a double elimination as seven masked singers take to the stage.
“Plus for one night only, Alan Carr joins the panel.”
The comedian is convinced one of the celebs is Cher, with him shrieking the A-lister’s name out from behind the judging desk.
Viewers have relished sharing theories as to which stars are behind which masks.
One of the strongest is that Lenny Henry is the Blob.
Last week fans were astonished when the character sang about hotels.
Lenny, 62, famously promotes Premier Inn in telly adverts – and the Blob is even coloured in the hotel giant’s purple and white colours.
There were then some very heavy clues involving a school, with many pointing out that the comic and actor played ‘superhead’ Ian George in TV’s Hope & Glory, which was set in a struggling comprehensive.
As they pointed out, that’s an anagram of TISWAS, the legendary 70s and 80s kids show he fronted with Chris Tarrant.
Another ran with the clue that Blob was named after their doctor, tweeting that Lenny was admitted during an appearance on Louis Theroux’s podcast that’s exactly what happened to him.
Lenny is in fact officially called Lenworth and was named after a Dr Lenworth when he was born in Dudley, Worcestershire, in the late 50s.
One tweeted: “One of the clues last week was he was named after a doctor. Go look at his Wiki, first line, named after the doctor who delivered him.”
Another wrote: “Lenny Henry is Blob and he just sang about a hotel, isn’t that obvious enough for them… he advertised Premier Inn. Come. On. He hosted Tiswas too – a kids show.”
