MASKED Singer fans reckon Lenny Henry is The Blob – revealing a dossier of five ‘killer’ clues that appear to confirm he’s in the quirky costume.
Viewers, who have been compiling clues for weeks, were astonished on Saturday when the character appeared singing about hotels.
Lenny, 62, famously promotes Premier Inn in telly adverts – and the Blob is even coloured in the hotel giant’s purple and white colours.
That comes on the heels of some very heavy clues involving a school with many pointing out that the comic and actor played ‘superhead’ Ian George in TV’s Hope & Glory, which was set in a struggling comprehensive.
But perhaps the biggest two clues were harder to spot – with one eagle-eyed fan pointing out the word ‘WAISTS’ in kids fridge magnets in one scene.
As they pointed out, that’s an anagram of TISWAS, the legendary 70s and 80s kids show he fronted with Chris Tarrant.
Another ran with the clue that Blob娛樂城評價 was named after their doctor, tweeting that Lenny was admitted during an appearance on Louis Theroux’s podcast that’s exactly what happened to him.
Lenny is in fact officially called Lenworth and was named after a Dr Lenworth when he was born in Dudley, Worcestershire, in the late 50s.
One tweeted: “One of the clues last week was he was named after a doctor. Go look at his Wiki, first line, named after the doctor who delivered him.”
